About Our Founder, Wendy Pittman

WENDY PITTMANWENDY PITTMAN, FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR, MY BOUGIE BABY™

Wendy Pittman is a businesswoman at heart whose drive to succeed began as early as her days growing up in Louisa, Virginia working as an assistant for her father’s recycling company.  In 1995 Wendy graduated from the University of Maryland and began her post-college career as a Business development manager for United Parcel Service with small business accounts.  From there Wendy has worked at a leading medical aesthetics company for the past 11 years, most of which as a Senior Business Development Manager.  Along the way Wendy has earned numerous awards and recognition for her in sales and customer service.  Wendy attributes her career’s success to listening to her customers, understanding their needs and  implementing business plans to meet those needs.

In addition to being an accomplished businesswoman, Wendy is also, a mother to eight-year-old Tiffani Rae.  When shopping for her daughter’s  wardrobe Wendy found that the clothing was too mature or too pink for her and her daughter’s taste.  Inspired by both this poor selection of clothing for young girls and Tiffani Rae’s own unique style, Wendy launched My Bougie Baby™ in early 2011.  Again, Wendy listens to what her customers have to say and has heard the opinions of young fashionistas and their mothers who want stylish, but tasteful fashions for their daughters.  Wendy is now applying her years of business development, marketing and sales experience to the fashion world where she plans to continue to develop strong client relationships and deliver the products they adore.

Wendy lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband, Eric and daughter Tiffani Rae.  She also has a son, Christopher, who is a  student at Howard University.  The entire Pittman family are active philanthropists, working with local and national charities including Courage for Kids a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization where she serves as Vice President, the Washington Hospital Transplant Team and United Communities Against Poverty among other community-based non-profits  to help those in need.
