philanthropyWendy pursues her philanthropic endeavors to improve the lives of at-risk children through her work on the Board of Courage for Kids, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to create, find, and support programs for at-risk urban youth that directly improve the health and well-being of those children in the Mid-Atlantic region through financial support and volunteer commitment.

Helping and giving close to home, Wendy continues to be actively involved with United Communities Against Poverty (UCAP), the official Community Action Agency for prince George’s County, a non-profit 501(c)(3) which advocates for communities of people facing deficiencies in education, affordable housing, economic stability, and adequate health care access.

Never short on giving, Wendy is also a living organ donor—donating in 2005 a kidney to her husband, Eric. She strongly supports organ and tissue donation and understands this to be a great matter of growing concern in her community.
